LAFC Sign Former French International Star Hugo Lloris
Los Angeles FC have signed their next international star in Hugo Lloris. The 37 year old former French National Team star leaves his longtime club of Tottenham to join the black and gold side of Los Angeles. Hugo Lloris has a long career of success winning a FIFA World Cup, a UEFA Nations League, a Coupe de France, a Trophee des Champions, three Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Year awards, and three Ligue 1 Team of the Season awards. Lloris has 724 career games played with 248 career shutouts. He now heads to LAFC to help continue the club’s long time success in MLS.
The off-season LAFC moved on from goalkeepers Maxime Crepeau, John McCarthy and Eldin Jakupovic. The only remaining keeper on the roster is Abraham Rodriguez who has never appeared for the LAFC first team. Hugo Lloris arrives as the starting goalkeeper on the roster, most importantly not on a Designated Player roster designation. There are very few front offices within MLS that I have utter confidence in, and LAFC has one of them. This is only the beginning for LAFC’s build to get back to another MLS Cup.
