Austin FC Sign U.S. Youth International Micah Burton

Austin FC add to their first team depth by signing HomeGrown attacking midfielder Micah Burton. The 17 year old Burton won the MLS Next Pro title in 2023 with Austin FC II. In 24 career games with Austin FC II so far, Burton has scored 2 goals in about 1,200 minutes. The U.S. U17 International has a total of 21 caps for the youth side, in those games he has scored 5 goals. 

Burton joins Austin’s first team as the only other true attacking midfielder behind star Sebastian Druissi. I can’t sit here and truly think that Burton plays a major factor in Austin FC’s 2024 plans, but… this is an exciting one for the future. Burton has the potential to be a big time player within MLS. Austin locked down a big time future talent here.
