MLS Aces Power Rankings - Post Matchday 27

Matchday 27 of the 2024 Major League Soccer season has come to a close. We now head into the All Star break and the start of Leagues Cup! All of that meaning… this is the last Power Rankings article on our website for a little bit! I am going to of course factor in Leagues Cup performances into my rankings once the tournament is over, but I will wait until it actually is over before I drop another one of these. That means by the time you all read this again, the rankings could be pretty different. But, where do things stand in my mind heading into this break of the MLS season? Let’s check out the top 10 of the MLS Aces Power Rankings:

5. Los Angeles Galaxy

The top 10 this week continues to see shake ups as the state of Ohio is dropping off a bit. Columbus and Cincinnati continue to drop points as clubs like LAFC, the Red Bulls, and Inter Miami rise once again in 2024. I have the Red Bulls a bit higher than others I’ve seen around the MLS world. They have drawn a lot recently, but they are a club that enters the summer transfer window with the return of Lewis Morgan from international duty, getting Emil Forsberg healthy, and figuring out the replacement of Frankie Amaya. If they can replace Amaya and get Forsberg back healthy, this team can be a top 3 team in MLS by the end of the season. The Galaxy crack back into the top 5 of our rankings again after a very strong matchday. Finally, we have those borderline top 10 clubs remaining with Vancouver, Charlotte, and Colorado. But let’s see how the rest of the rankings rounded out after this matchday:
