The Vancouver Whitecaps Are Up For Sale

The Vancouver Whitecaps current ownership group has announced that they are in the process of selling the club. It has been reported that the Whitecaps are looking to sell to a new ownership group that will keep the club in the city of Vancouver.

It’s not quite often that a chance to own a MLS club happens. It’s either through expansion (which we haven’t heard much of lately) or an opportunity like this (a shift in ownership). I’d like to see the Whitecaps remain in the city of Vancouver, but finding new millionaire owners is extremely tough to do. Especially ones that are not already in sports ownership. We will see how long it takes for this to go through officially and how it coincides with the 2026 FIFA World Cup in which Vancouver is a host city.
