Orlando City Sign Oscar Pareja To A New Contract
The future of Orlando City is in safe hands… at least until the end of the 2025 MLS season. Orlando City have signed Manager Oscar Pareja to a new contract through the 2025 season. Pareja was out of contract after this past season, and with no news of a new contract… fans down in Orlando were stressing. Pareja has brought stability and the most success to Orlando City since they’ve made the jump up to MLS.
In 2022, Pareja brought the first MLS trophy to Orlando City’s trophy cabinet after raising the U.S. Open Cup. But Pareja has a history of success in MLS, especially during his time with FC Dallas. But to focus on the present, he has been the man in charge of getting Orlando into this new and more dominant chapter. In 149 games in charge of Orlando City, Pareja has a record of 70 wins, 37 draws, and 42 losses. He has shown success with the club in MLS and Open Cup action, gotten them into CONCACAF Champions League soccer, and even advanced into new stages of the MLS Cup Playoffs.
To me, this is a no brainer and a contract that should have been signed months ago. Pareja is easily one of the best managers within Major League Soccer. What he has done both on and off the field for this club has been nothing short of impressive. Orlando needs to let Pareja continue to take charge of this club and see how this project continues. I believe in Pareja’s abilities as a manager and club builder. With his background and abilities, Pareja can continue to help Orlando get to the next level.
