Austin FC Sign Brazilian Fullback Guilherme Biro

Austin FC have signed left-back Guilherme Biro from Mirassol in the Brazilian 2nd division. Biro is a 23 year old Brazilian who played in 43 games last season for Mirassol, scoring 2 goals and recording 3 assists. Biro has a combined 115 career games played between Mirassol and Coritiba FC, with 3 career goals and 4 career assists. 

The young fullback joins Austin FC’s only other leftback on the roster in U22 Initiative player Zan Kolmanic. The other option on the roster is starting MLS All Star Jon Gallagher on the left side which is not natural for him… but then leaving Austin with no rightback option. It seems like Austin are going to rely on the likes of Gallagher, Kolmanic, Hector Jimenez, and the newly signed Guilherme Biro to play a ton of minutes for the club during their 2024 campaign.
