St. Louis City SC Sign German Attacker Cedric Teuchert From Hannover 96
St. Louis City SC have begun their summer transfer window with the signing of attacker Cedric Teuchert from Hannover 96 in the 2.Bundesliga. In the announcement of the signing, Teuchert was announced as a midfielder/winger, but doing some research, it looks like he might play as a second striker to Joao Klauss. The 27 year old German will now add to an attack that consists of Joao Klauss, Celio Pompeu, Samuel Adeniran, and more!
Teuchert comes from Hannover 96 in the 2.Bundesliga where this past European season he scored 12 goals and recorded 3 assists across almost 1,400 minutes. His entire career has been spent playing soccer in Germany, playing for the likes of; Hannover 96, FC Nuremburg, Union Berlin, and Schalke 04. Across his four clubs in Germany he’s scored a total of 48 goals and 21 assists across 194 games.
Coming into this team with similar ties and experiences to many of the current rostered players like Joao Klauss, Eduard Lowen, Roman Burki, and more… Teuchert should be able to adapt pretty quickly to his new teammates and MLS. This could be a much needed piece for St. Louis to unlock a much needed improvement of their offense.
