MLS Aces Power Rankings - Post Matchday 32 & Matchday 33
Another two game matchday week and another MLS Aces Power Rankings factoring in roughly two games per club. The MLS regular season is getting closer and closer to the end as we are seeing clubs being eliminated from MLS Cup Playoff contention, clubs securing playoff spots, and more madness when it comes to standings. Clubs in each conference are fighting for home playoff spots, playoff spots in general, and even play-in game spots every single week. Here is where things stand to me when in comes to MLS club power rankings:
1. Columbus Crew SC
2. Inter Miami CF
3. FC Cincinnati
4. Los Angeles Galaxy
5. Los Angeles FC
6. Colorado Rapids
7. Vancouver Whitecaps
8. Seattle Sounders
9. Houston Dynamo FC
10. Real Salt Lake
In my eyes, the top 10 above are the best of the best in MLS right now. However, when I think about clubs that can win MLS Cup (and that is the basis of how I view my power rankings) there are only two true contenders; Columbus and Miami. The Columbus Crew are playing a style of soccer that has never been seen in MLS before. Wilfried Nancy has every member of his club playing at extraordinary levels. Things are very similar with Inter Miami, but the talent level of that roster is next level. Both clubs in Los Angeles are true contenders out west, the Rapids are consistently looking strong under Chris Armas, and the Dynamo are playing maybe the most attractive style of soccer in the league. This top 10 really does have a lot of fun players, styles, and talents within it. Here is how I view the rest of the league as well:
11. Orlando City SC
12. New York Red Bulls
13. Portland Timbers
14. Charlotte FC
15. Philadelphia Union
16. New York City FC
17. Toronto FC
18. Minnesota United FC
19. D.C. United
20. Austin FC
21. St. Louis City SC
