Former New England Revolution Star Signs With Inter Milan
Inter Milan have signed former MLS and current Canadian National Team star Tajon Buchanan from Club Brugge. The 24 year old Buchanan has converted into a right wingback since his time as a winger playing for the New England Revolution. In 2019 the New England Revolution selected Tajon Buchanan in the MLS SuperDraft, Buchanan played for the New England Revolution for the entire 2019, 2020, and 2021 MLS seasons (was sold to Club Brugge during the 2021 MLS season, but remained with New England on loan). During his time in MLS he would play in 67 games, score 12 goals, record 11 assists, win a Supporters Shield, and be named to the 2021 MLS Best XI.
Buchanan was sold to Club Brugge for a $7m transfer fee in which New England would also get a 10% sell on percentage for any future sale. After roughly 2.5 seasons with Club Brugge, the Canadian International would make the historic transfer to Inter Milan, one of the largest clubs in the world. The reason why this move is so important is that Buchanan will soon become the first Canadian soccer player to play in the Italian Serie A. As part of the sale to Milan, New England will also receive that 10% sell on fee. Congratulations on history Tajon!!!
