FC Dallas Part Ways With Nico Estevez
FC Dallas have moved on from manager Nico Estevez after about two and a half seasons in charge. The 44 year old Estevez finished with a total of 98 games managed across all competitions. In those games, Estevez led Dallas to a record of 35 wins, 29 draws, and 34 losses. His best season came during the 2022 season where Dallas made the conference semi-finals.
Personally, I don’t think that Estevez was a bad manager during his time with Dallas. I think there were some clear flaws with his tactics, but, there are also some holes that he had talent wise with his rosters over the years. But, I think with the financial investment that Dallas put into Petar Musa this off-season mixed with the lack of on field results… FC Dallas ownership had to push the move to part ways with Estevez.
I am curious to see where FC Dallas goes from here. The last two hires for FC Dallas have come from known commodities within the U.S. National Team; Luchi Gonzalez and Nico Estevez. I would like to see Dallas take a bit of a bigger “risk” here and touch the international manager market. Get someone who can match the quality of ambition that they’ve shown with the recent big additions of Petar Musa, Alan Velasco, and Asier Illaramendi.
